The manicured lawn of the Canada College campus was a wonderful place to host Picnic en Blanc. In 2017, the Foundation commissioned a public art piece, Redwood City Pages, and the Artist/Photographer Brian Taylor created a cyanotype piece with the help of guests that was incorporated into the final public art piece. For the first time at Picnic en Blanc, guests were treated to a flashmob of dancers who appropriately set the mood for the dance party. The Peelers, a Top 40 mashup and medleys cover band, kept everyone on their feet and dancing throughout the duration of the event.
Proceeds of over $10,000 were donated to the Magical Bridge Foundation to support construction costs of the Magical Bridge Playground in Redwood City.
With Gratitude to the 2017 Sponsors
